Our cashmere pieces are hand made in small batches from Nepal, using hand spun 100% Cashmere. These are colored using no harmful dyes or color fixants.
The cashmere fiber is gently gathered from the goats by hand with a coarse comb that pulls tufts of fiber from the animal as the comb is raked through the fleece. The collected fiber then has a higher yield of pure cashmere after the fiber has been washed and de-haired, which is then spun into fine yarn.
Cashmere yarn is finer, stronger, lighter, softer, and approximately three times more insulating than sheep wool.
The Nepalese workshop initiative is such that the facility owners allocate 2% of their total profit for worker welfare ensuring a fairly run and safe environment for local workers.
